The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 is designed to protect the privacy of a student's 教育记录. 这些机密记录包括 academic, financial aid, scholarship, and billing/account information, and will not be released without written consent from the student.

 
What if I want my parent/guardian to have access to my student financial information?

In order for the Division of Student Financial Services (SFS) to release student financial 信息方面，学生必须完成 财务释放授权书 信息 form to indicate the specific person/business/organization that they would like to 授予访问权限.

When the specified person/business/organization reaches out to SFS they must:

1. 在FERPA表格上列出，
2. provide the student’s full name and Jag Number, and

What specific student financial information will be shared with a FERPA password?

Submitting the FERPA Release form authorizes the USA Division of Student Financial Services to release the 教育记录 as outlined below to the person/business/organization 由学生确认.

• Financial aid and scholarship records, including processing and eligibility status 以及奖励类型和金额. This information will not include specific parental 收入或资产信息.
• Student account activity and statements, including charges and payments posted to that account and any refund amounts processed.
• 住房 and meal plan details, which may include amounts owed as well as amounts paid.

This authorization form does not allow the University to release any other specific 教育记录.

4. Use your Jag Number and JagNet password to sign in, if not automatically logged in.
5. Click ‘Student e-形式’ from the left navigation.

7. Complete and submit the '财务释放授权书 信息' form.

Please Note: This authorization will remain in effect until the student revokes access 通过此表格提交给授权方.
